Legal and Admin Policies

FinShark is a marketplace for banking and insurance-related products.

For banking products (including credit cards, bank accounts, and loans), we forward your enquiry to a bank or the bank's authorised agent so they can contact you directly.

For insurance products, FinShark only introduces you to licensed insurance brokers; FinShark does not act as an insurer, insurance broker, or seller.

FinShark does not provide, arrange, or broker any regulated financial, lending, investment, or insurance products and is not regulated as a financial institution by the Central Bank of the UAE, the Securities and Commodities Authority, or any other financial regulator.

The Platform and all content are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Any agreement, application, or transaction you enter into is solely between you and the relevant Partner, under their terms and conditions.

By submitting a form or using the Platform, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 18 years old and legally competent under UAE law.
• Will provide true, accurate, and current information in all forms.
• Will use the Platform only for lawful purposes and not to impersonate any person or misrepresent information.

FinShark does not operate any login/account system; all information you provide is submitted voluntarily so that FinShark and its verified Partners can contact you about your enquiry.

When you submit your details, you consent to FinShark:

• Collecting and processing your personal data in line with UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
• Sharing your details with relevant licensed Partners so they may contact you.
• Contacting you via phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or similar channels for service and permitted marketing purposes.

You may withdraw consent by contacting us using the details in the Privacy Policy; we will then stop non-mandatory communications, subject to legal obligations.

You shall not:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt Platform functionality, including through viruses, bots, or scraping tools.
• Collect user or product data for resale or unsolicited marketing.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

Violations may result in immediate access restrictions and potential reporting to UAE authorities under the Cybercrime Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, FinShark and its affiliates, officers, and service providers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from:

• Your use of or reliance on information on the Platform.
• Any inaccuracy, delay, or omission in content.
• Any act, omission, product, service, or decision of a Partner.
• Any interruption, error, virus, or security incident affecting the Platform.

Your engagement with any Partner is entirely at your own discretion and risk. FinShark disclaims all responsibility for any Partner's actions or omissions.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinShark and its affiliates, officers, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms.
• Your misuse of the Platform.
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

When you complete a form, FinShark may collect:

• Identity Details: Full name, gender (optional).
• Contact Details: Mobile number, email address.
• Employment & Financial Details: Employer name, salary range, AECB score (optional), existing bank relationships, product preferences.
• Device & Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, analytics identifiers.
• Marketing & Behavioural Data: Information on how you use the Platform (via cookies and similar technologies).

FinShark does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health, biometric, or religious data). If such data is inadvertently submitted, it will be deleted or anonymised without delay.

FinShark uses your data to:

• Route your enquiry to relevant licensed banks, finance companies, or insurance brokers.
• Enable those Partners to contact you about the product you requested.
• Respond to your questions or feedback.
• Improve Platform performance, content, user experience, and marketing effectiveness.
• Comply with UAE legal, audit, and security requirements.

FinShark does not sell or rent your personal data to unauthorised third parties.

FinShark processes personal data on the following legal bases:

• Consent: You have provided explicit consent when submitting your details through the Platform.
• Legitimate Interest: To facilitate communications between you and verified Partners to fulfil your enquiry.
• Legal Obligation: Where required to retain or disclose information under UAE law.

Your data may be shared only with:

• Licensed banks, finance companies, brokers, and insurance brokers that participate as Partners on the Platform.
• Service providers engaged by FinShark for hosting, analytics, CRM, and communication support (e.g., email or SMS gateways).
• Government or regulatory authorities when legally required to do so.

All Partners and service providers are contractually obligated to process your data in accordance with UAE data-protection standards and for no other purpose.

You have the right to:

• Request access to and a copy of your personal data.
• Request correction or updating of inaccurate information.
• Withdraw consent to processing (subject to legal limitations).
• Request erasure of your personal data where no longer necessary.

Requests should be sent to info@finshark.ae, and FinShark will acknowledge and respond to such requests within a reasonable period.

FinShark uses cookies and similar technologies strictly for legitimate and limited purposes, including:

• Ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the Platform.
• Analysing traffic patterns and visitor behaviour to improve functionality and performance.
• Personalising user experience and remembering language or region preferences.
• Enabling marketing and advertising campaigns in compliance with applicable law.

FinShark does not use cookies to store sensitive personal information such as passwords or financial data.

The Platform may employ the following categories of cookies:

Cookies may be:

• Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.
• Persistent Cookies: Stored on your device until deleted or until their defined expiry period (typically six to twelve months).

FinShark retains cookies only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy.
